Today’s minimum is three degrees lower than normal for this time of the year and lowest on December 26 in the previous five years, the Met office said.

Yesterday, the minimum was 7.4 degree Celsius whilst on Thursday it was 6.1 degree.

vIndianz.com (26 Nov, 2009) — It is a wake-up call for all

vIndianz.com (26 Nov, 2009) — It is a wake-up call for all drink lovers especially for those who combine drinking with driving as they possibly will end up losing their license.

The city government on Wednesday informed the Delhi High Court that it has framed the course of action for revocation of driving license for public who are caught drunk while driving.

A bench comprising Chief Justice A P Shah and Justice S Muralidhar acknowledged the guiding principle and asked the administration to issue announcement within a month.

The guidelines, which were placed before the court, say that in case of drunken driving the violators’ license shall be taken into custody and the actions would be initiated for barring or revocation of driving license.

The government framed the guiding principle on the course of the court, which on October 7 had asked it to do so to restrain the increasing number of road accidents caused by drunken driving.

The court had asked the government to maintain a severe vigil at the bars, and to carry out consistent and regular checks by the police predominantly throughout the festival season.
