vIndianz.com (18 Feb, 2010) — )New York: Disgraced golf champion Tiger Woods is set to break his silence, speaking for the first time since revelations of extramarital affairs rocked his personal life.
Woods, who went on an “indefinite break” following the scandal, will speak at 11 am Friday from the TPC Sawgrass clubhouse in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, his agent said.
“Tiger Woods will be speaking to a small group of friends, colleagues and close associates… Tiger plans to discuss his past and his future and he intends to apologise for his behaviour,” a statement on PGA Tour.com read.
Woods agent Mark Steinberg also told CNBC: “Tiger will make a public statement to begin to make amends”.
PGA Tour.com said Woods had consulted the Golf Writers Association of America to recommend pool reporters.
