vIndianz.com (20 Mar, 2010) — When Mumbai Indians (MI) takes on the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) today, it would be a battle worth watching. As the cricketing tussle is set to unfold at the Brabourne stadium, the counters sport ‘Sold Out’ boards. Such is the interest that the upcoming match has generated.
Mumbai Indians today boast of having all the crowd support considering that Brabourne is home ground. And with Sachin Tendulkar, on a dream run even at this age, leading from the front there is no doubts about the popularity the MI side has. However, the RCB side is not to be written off.
A look at their performance over the past few days would reveal that they, under the versatile Anil Kumble, have also had a dream run. Home ground or not, RCB wouldn’t be deterred. If you would remember, two years ago, the RCB had registered a comprehensive victory against the Mumbai Indians in Mumbai.
So the tussle is going to be an exciting one. Tendulkar and co against Anil Kumble’s Bangaloreans would mean a match worth watching. All eyes would be on Zaheer Khan, the MI ace, who once upon a time was an RCB player before being ‘transferred’ to his home team last year. Besides, Robin Uthappa who had played for MI has returned to his home team. Talking of Uthappa, he has proved a blaster with the bat during this edition of the tourney and has also hit the second-fastest fifty in IPL earlier in the week this week. Get set for one of the fiercest of matches at Brabourne.
