vIndianz.com (Aug. 15, 2009) — Korean mobile giant Samsung has launched the two new smartphone models Samsung Omnia HD and Samsung Omnia Pro B7320 in the Indian market.
The first handset Samsung Omnia HD is equipped with 8 MP camera and is priced around Rs 33,990. This is close to the price of the Apple iPhone in the Indian market.
This model supports 720P high definition (HD) video recording and features the world’s largest AMOLED screen, measuring 9.4 cm. It comes with 16GB internal memory which can be expanded to 48GB with the help of memory card.
However its other feature includes 1GHz Processor, Bluetooth capabilities, Wi-Fi connectivity, support for DLA, a built-in GPS receiver etc.
The company claims that OmniaHD offer high speed internet access of HSUPA 5.76Mbps and HSDPA 7.2Mbps. The model runs on a Window Mobile 6.1.
The second handset, Omnia Pro B7320 is a budget smartphone priced at around Rs 16,500.
Unlike the HD’s touch screen interface, the Omnia PRO has a full QWERTY keypad and runs on Windows Mobile 6.1.
It is powered with powered with 1Ghz processor, 16:9 screen along with 16M colors, dual stereo speaker, 3 MP camera, Wi-Fi, 3G, EDGE and FM radio.
The handset comes with just 70MB of internal storage, which can be expanded to 16GB with media cards.
