vIndianz.com (Aug. 18, 2009) — Google has launched bookmark syncing for users on the dev channel of its Chrome web browser.
Users can sync their Chrome bookmarks between computers and access them in any browser through Google Docs.
These bookmarks are stored on users’ Google account alongside Google Docs and sync via XMPP.
This new feature makes it easy to keep the same set of bookmarks on all your machines, and stores them alongside your Google Docs for easy web access.
They tested bookmark syncing with Chrome build 4.0.201.1 on Windows. You have to launch the dev version of Chrome with the –enable-sync command-line flag to get the feature working. Then you have to activate it by selecting “Sync my bookmarks” from Chrome’s gear menu. The browser will show you a login screen. After your login completion, your bookmarks will automatically upload to Google’s servers.
