(vIndianz June 29 2010): Volkswagen will unveil its new sedan Vento on July 6 in the Indian market. To be rolled out in India in two engine options namely 1.6-litre diesel and 1.6-litre petrol engine, the Vento will have both the engines producing 105 bhp with a speed manual gear delivering maximum torque of 25.5 kgm and 15.8 kgm respectively.
A 50 mm of extra wheelbase comes as a unique feature in the Vento that measures 4.38 meters in length, 1.7 m in width and 1.46 m in height.
VW will roll out the car in new designs that come in five colors such as Deep Black, Flash Red, Glacier Blue, Silver and Candy White. The pricing details are expected in the range of Rs 7 lakh-Rs.9 lakh.
The new VW Vento will be placed on the same platform as the Honda City, Hyundai Verna and Fiat Linea. Features include a height adjustable driver’s seat, power windows, engine immobilizer, Air bags, ABS and EBD.
