(vIndianz June 22 2010): A dispatch that has been spamming email users’ inboxes for the past one month has been rubbished as a hoax. The mail that talks about “Two Suns in the Sky” was accompanied by an artistically made image which showed two suns with 3D effects has been ridiculed by scientists across the globe. They say the mail was just propagating a rumour.

The mails had said that ‘Star Aderoid’ will be the brightest in the sky, starting from June 10, and will look great as the sun with the naked eye. It added that the event would culminate on June 21, when the star comes within 34.65 million miles from Earth. And, if you look skyward at around 12.30 on that day, you would get to see two suns. However, D-day being yesterday no one was witness to such a phenomenon. Thus, it has been proved that the mail was nothing but a rumour.
