vIndianz.com (10 Feb, 2010) — Hyderabad: In a gruesome incident in Andhra Pradesh, a teacher on Tuesday slit the throat of a 10-year-old boy, whose father had taken a loan from him, police said.
The incident took place in Hanamkonda in Warangal district of Andhra Pradesh.
Police said Nagaraju, teacher in a local school, allegedly attacked the boy with a knife at the latter’s house in Vikas Nagar in the presence of his mother who was alone at that time, media reports said.
The injured boy is battling for life at MGM Hospital in Warangal.
The boy’s mother Meena Kumari told police that Nagaraju had come home to demand the money he had lent to her husband Ailaiah, a watchman. Since Ailaiah was away she asked him to come later. However, the teacher requested for a glass of water. As she entered the kitchen, he allegedly attacked her son with a knife and ran away.
