Sex tainted Nithyananda Swami has quit as head of Dhyanapeetam and from all the trusts associated with him. The godman had been pushed to trouble after a sexual video surfaced portraying him in a compromising position with actress Ranjtha.
Nithyananda has said that he has decided to live a “life of spiritual seclusion for an indefinite time”. The video was created and distributed an inmate of the ashram, though the guru’s ashram has called the footage ‘a mix of conspiracy, graphics and rumours’. The announcement came after a video showing him in sexual acts with two women, and the subsequent probe.
Nithyananda contends that he had done nothing illegal and the video was manipulated. The video provoked the locals and shocked his devotees
