SRK likely to star in Anurag Basu’s next film

(vIndianz June 12 2010): Anurag Basu’s much-hyped Kites may not have been well-received at the box office, but it has certainly got Shahrukh Khan’s attention. The Badshah of Bollywood may work with the director for the latter’s next film.

Shahrukh Khan is currently involved in shooting for his superhero movie titled Ra.One while Anurag Basu is working on the pre-production for his movie “Silence”, which will star Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. The director is said to have finalized a script for the film with Shahrukh Khan, according to industry insiders. It is also rumoured that the movie is set to be produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, a production company owned by SRK.

Shahrukh Khan is known to be open to experimentation with different roles. He is reportedly very impressed with the director handled his latest film “Kites”. The two will begin work on their film after they finish with their current movie projects. Meanwhile, Anurag Basu will also be working on a short film before he starts shooting “Silence”, though the director has not revealed any information on the project.

Indian film audiences will certainly be in for a treat if the SRK-Anurag Basu project makes it to the big screen.
