vIndianz.com (17 Feb, 2010) — Mumbai: The latest edition of patriotic song Mile Sur Mera Tumhara, which was telecast on small screen during Republic Day, has upset members of Sindhi community, who have registered their protest against non-inclusion of Sindhi stanza in the poem.

mile-sur-mera-tumharaBhartiya Sindhi Samaj (BSS) has appealed to the television channel not to telecast the second version of this song unless the Sindhi stanza is incorporated.

The earlier version had former cricketer Narendra Hirwani singing on the screen with playback song rendered by renowned Sindhi singer Ghansham Vaswani.

President of BSS, Pradeep Bhavnani, told PTI that his organisation had taken up the matter with the producers who have assured that they would persuade young Billiards champion Pankaj Advani to deliver the Sindhi stanza in the song in background voice of Ghansham Vaswani.
