vIndianz.com (30 Nov, 2009) — PM Manmohan Singh returned back from his nine-day tour to the United States of America and Trinidad & Tobago on Sunday night. Singh’s extensive tour is being called a fruitful one by his officials.
Following Singh’s personal involvement US President Barack Obama directed a Federal Bureau of Investigation team be dispatched to Delhi to correspond with Indian officials of what they have learned from Lashkar-e-Toiba operatives David Coleman Headley and Tawwahur Rana.
Although the US justice system did not authorize Indian officials to obtain access to Headley and Rana, who are alleged to have been setting up attacks against India and Denmark, Obama took the judgment after Prime Minister’s personal intervention.
The FBI will inform the Indian officials not just with reference to the plans of Headley and Rana for potential terror attacks possibly in India but in addition their associations to the Mumbai terror attacks and maybe also their support if any in the Pakistani establishments.
“The President (Barack Obama) quickly said that they are seized the entire subject and we are prepared to entirely collaborate with whatever information is available. He said he will be sending a high-level team from the United States with the entire data that they have been able to acquire and it will be presented to the Indian authorities in a week’s time,” National Security Advisor MK Narayanan.
Furthermore, Singh was capable to basically conclude the Indo-Canadian nuclear deal after a meeting with Prime Minister Steven Harper in Port of Spain where they were for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).
Singh too met other world leaders on climate change including French President Nicolas Sarkozy who was an exceptional guest at CHOGM and the Danish Prime Minister Lars Rasmussen. Both Sarkozy and Rasmussen asked Singh to be present at the Copenhagen Climate Change Summit in December.
Speaking to reporters Singh said that he would think about their demand coupled with that of President Obama to be present at the Copenhagen Climate Change Summit. Singh might think about being in Copenhagen for the Climate Change Summit to include India’s voice to the voice of the developing world.
