Playboy Re-ignited these 7 Actresses

Most probably, the hot topic for some days to come will be Hollywood hottie Lindsay Lohan’s decision to appear in Playboy stark naked. Lindsay, who was earlier approached by the Magazine, had refused the ‘Big Money’ to show to the world what her mom gave her. But Lindsay, now very much in the news for all the wrong reasons, might want more finance for legal procedures and her flamboyant lifestyle.

Interestingly, it is not only Ms Lohan who had hesitated at first to walk into popular infamy. Let us look at seven other popular names who have taken just a bit longer to appear for the Playboy Magazine centre-spread.

Teri Polo

Teri Polo was 36, double the age of a fresh Playmate, when she was photo-featured naked in Playboy’s inside. She was apparently hoping to spice up her image and popularity she gained from her notable performance in the super-hit movie Meet the Parents. Though she was eighteen years late for ‘it’, she didn’t show any signs of aging, but couldn’t use this move to boost her stardom. Her ensuing notable roles were mainly guest appearances on TV shows like, CSI: Miami and The Ghost Whisperer. She also featured in the two sequels of Meet the Parents, Meet the Fockers and Little Fockers.

Lisa Rinna

She actually posed for Playboy and made news not only by posing naked but also by doing so while pregnant. That was the time when her association with Melrose Place was terminated. But she again made news by returning to her familiar Playboy mansion in 2006 after her popularity rose in Dancing with the Stars. FYI she was 46 when she did her second photo shoot for Playboy. Pregnancy and Forties, it sounds like queer glamour formula.

Kristy Swanson

Teenager’s heartthrob Kristy Swanson shot to fame with films like The Chase and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. However, when she had almost faded into oblivion, she re-captured public attention through her display of birthday suit in Playboy, which was ten years later. This didn’t exactly give her a reentry she would have hoped, but certainly led to roles on CSI: Miami and a film Swamp Shark.

Tia Carrere

Tia was once the heartthrob of American girlies. Almost everyone was excited when she brushed her way to be the hottest woman in the universe in Wayne’s World. She was also able to show her higher profile presence in Hollywood movies like True Lies and Jury Duty. However, her riding success soon subsided, and, after the next 8 years, she was seen exposing herself for Playboy. And, as if it is an essential rule, she also appeared in CSI: Miami.

Denise Richards

Denise didn’t need a Playboy cover to show what’s inside. She had proved it with her performance and was under everybody’s attention after the ‘Wild Things’. As usual, she appeared on Playboy pages after her stardom faded away, igniting the spirit of many MILF guys out there. But even CSI: Miami didn’t give her a chance. But she tried to reinvent her in the movie Cougar. Also, she was seen opposite Akshay Kumar, a popular actor in Bollywood, in Kambakht Ishq.

Charisma Carpenter

This sensual actress was keeping a low profile until she decided to garner mainstream attention with the Playboy Avatar. Playboy illustrative happened soon after her leaving the Whedonverse. She was popular for her roles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spin-off, Angel. Since then, she got many roles on TV and was fortunate to play opposite Hollywood A-listers Sylvester Stallone and Jason Statham in last year’s Expendables. Playboy has done something good for this sensual actress.

Alison Eastwood

Alison was in the good books of the American people with her role against John Cusack in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. Despite Alison’s role in her Dad-directed flick, she was not able to secure a notable performance. Six years of forgetfulness led this actress to join the Playboy photo shoot. It appears she had got some advantages with it, as, even 7 years after that, she continues to do a few roles in some stuffs.
