vIndianz.com (21 Oct, 2009) — Agitating and protesting Lalgarh tribals have stopped up the Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani express at Banstala station close to Jhargram in West Midnapore. The motorman of the train has allegedly been abducted by them adding up to the chaos.
Tribals are jamming the railway track due to a bandh called by the People’s Committee against Police mayhem. They are on hold for a day-long bandh to send out a memo that they would surely not tolerate and put up with police ‘invading’ their villages.
The most important intention of the security forces presently is to search out and get back the motorman. The second aim is to settle with the tribals to eliminate the obstruction.
On the other hand, contradictory news affirms that it is not tribals but Naxals who have blocked the railway tracks. Naxal leader Kishenji has told CNN-IBN that the motorman “must have fled on his own, and has not been abducted by Naxals”.
CRPF forces have reached on the spot and news state that one CRPF personnel has been wounded in the resulting firing among security forces and the Naxals.
The passengers have been majorly inconvenienced owing to this continuing disorder.
Last week, the Railway Ministry had determined to run the Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Rajdhani Express six days a week instead of five.
