vIndianz.com (23 Mar, 2010): The one millionth car from the Maruti stables has rolled out of the Manesar facility. A red Swift that was pushed off its assembly line down to the tarmac drove away with the unique honour.
The event has made Maruti find a place among players like Toyota, General Motors, Volkswagen, Ford, Honda, Renault, Hyundai, Suzuki and Nissan. In celebration, Maruti also laid the foundation for expanding production to 2.5 lakh units at its Manesar plant at an investment of Rs 1700 crore.
