vIndianz.com (Sept. 18, 2009) — India’s security agencies have taken the major national security step of recommending a ban on international Internet telephony until a system to trace the calls is in place.
The move of Indian security agencies will have to be ratified by the government.
The Indian security agencies are concerned that militant groups from outside of India are using internet telephony to bypass telephone monitoring systems used by security agencies around the world.
