Following terror alert, private firms want security

vIndianz.com(15 Dec, 2009) — After the government accredited that IT companies are expected to be under attack by terrorists, almost a hundred firms all over the nation have applied for government security.

terrorist_183Up to now, 169 men from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) guard two private firms in Bangalore: Infosys and Electronics City. The companies pay for this security cover.

Currently, with additional companies wanting to accomplish the same, the government has shortlisted “who’s entitled”.

Priority-I: Petroleum and Natural Gas installations, power plants, IT and Communication Institutions who do business with big international players;

Priority-II: Industrial units extremely important for the Indian economy and located in areas dominated by Naxals or other militants.

Priority-III: Ship building yards, Research Institutions, Heritage Hotels
