vIndianz.com (17 Dec, 2009) — Trapped in a political storm over separate Telangana, Chief Minister K Rosaiah on Thursday said the responsibility of ruling a resolution to the current crisis in Andhra Pradesh lay in the hands of the government of India.
“The matter is not pertaining just to Andhra Pradesh currently. It is for the government of India to show us a means to resolve the crisis and assist restore normalcy,” he told a press conference in Hyderabad, a week subsequent to Home Minister P Chidamabaram’s statement favoring the formation of Telangana.
Rosaiah in addition appealed to each and every section, together with the media, to lend a hand re-establish normalcy in Andhra Pradesh in the wake of the confrontation for a united state. The Chief Minister said resolving the present crisis in the state would take additional time.
Asked if he had recommended a probable way out of the circumstances, Rosaiah shot back: “If I had any such thing in mind, can’t I resolve it? Why will I seek everyone’s cooperation, including the media?”
He said he was prepared to hold an all-party meeting to come across a solution to the deadlock but felt that it would not be probable for all political parties to make a combined representation to the Centre on the matter.
“Individual party views are by now being represented in New Delhi,” he pointed out.
Asked if he would visit New Delhi for discussion with the Centre, Rosaiah quipped: “It’s very chilly in Delhi. So I can’t go.”
