(vIndianz April 3 2010): The iPad is arriving Saturday, ending an impatient wait. The tablet device is being dubbed as getting ready for a sales number of 3 million by the end of 2010. The basic 16GB iPad equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity starts selling at $499.

The iPad, according to industry reports, would launch with 1,000 apps already created for it. Majors such as New York Times, Netflix, and ABC have all announced their apps. Customers believe that the iPad will be the device they would want to keep for years, and the years of training on the iPhone and iPod touch have acclimated users to the iPad’s multitouch technology. This, in fact, has made it less intimidating to buyers.
Tipped to be a game changer by all means, the iPad would bring to Apple, recognition more than what other devices have managed.
As Steve Jobs, Apple’s chief executive, had said during the unveiling of the device at San Francisco in January, the iPad has all in it to carve out a place between smartphones and laptop computers.
US customers have turned lucky as the devices have started trickling down to their hands. The demand has been skyrocketing along with the hype. It remains to be seen when it would arrive in other parts of the world.
