(vIndianz April 21, 2010): Apple announced that the WiFi + 3G models of its revolutionary product the iPad, would be available in retail stores from 5 pm on April 30. The product would also be delivered to customers who have pre-ordered, on the same day.

The Apple iPad allows users to browse the web, read and send mail, enjoy and share photos, watch videos in HD, listen to music, play games, read ebooks and do much more using the Multi-touch interface on the iPad. The WiFi + 3G model of the iPad is thinner and lighter than laptops and netbooks with a thickness of 0.5 inches and a weight of 1.6 pounds. It delivers upto 10 hours of battery life to surf the web and listen to music and watch videos using a WiFi network. The same can also be done on a 3G network, with the battery powering for the device for nine hours.
Apple will offer a Personal Setup Service to customers at Apple retail stores to customize their iPads, load it with their favourite apps and setup their email. The company will also conduct special iPad workshops at its retail stores to familiarize customers with the product and its functions.
Retail pricing for the WiFi models, which are on sale in the US, are set at $499 for 16 GB, $599 for 32 GB and $699 for 64 GB models. The WiFi + 3G model to go on sale from April 30 onwards, will be priced at $629 for 16 GB, $729 for 32 GB and $829 for 64 GB. The Apple iPad is available in the US through the Apple online store, Apple retail sotres, most BestBuy stores, select Apple authorized resellers and campus bookstores.
A 3G pre-paid data plan is also being offered by AT&T for the iPad which can be easily managed and activated on the device itself.
Apple also announced that iPad sales in Australia, Canada, France Germany, Japan, Italy, Switzerland, Spain and UK will begin by the end of May. International pricing for the iPad is yet to be announced though the company will begin accepting online pre-orders from May 10.
