vIndianz.com (1 Nov, 2009) — Taking a strong standpoint, home minister P. Chidambaram has warned Pakistan against interfering in India’s associations and said any new terror attack from that nation will be retaliated “extremely strongly”.
He said he has been forewarning Pakistan not to play with India and that the Mumbai attacks ought to be the “last game”.
“We have been gaining potency gradually to respond to terrorism from across the border. I have been cautioning Pakistan not to play games with us. (I have told them that) the last game should be Mumbai attacks. End it there,” he told a public conference here last night.
“If terrorists and militants from Pakistan attempt to carry out any assault in India, they will not just be overpowered but will be retaliated very strongly,” he said in his speech in Tamil.
Chidambaram said India would retaliate strongly in opposition to any challenge by Pakistan to send infiltrators into India and “we have potency to deal with any such infiltration”.
He said he had been time and again warning Pakistan against interfering in India’s affairs but if they sustained to do so, “we will deal with them strongly”.
