vIndianz.com (Nov 30, 2009) — Fur is dead and skinning poor speechless animals brutally in China which is the largest exporter of dog and cat fur must be brought to an end. A group of knowledgeable and animal rights activists took the bold initiative of spreading their word across to the people by boycotting a fur shop in Monmouth Street.
A handful of animal rights activists associated with a group called Caring Activists against Fur demonstrated and protested outside Winters Furs on Monmouth Street Saturday afternoon. Protest organizer Anthony Botti, of Atlantic Highlands, said Winters Furs was targeted “since it’s a noticeable location in the central Jersey area.”
He said Saturday was chosen “because it’s when the large shopping passion starts. This is when the animal torturers attempt to make the most of their profits.”
Store owner Jason Simon, who had pressed on word that a picketing authorization has been issued by the municipality and hired security for the day, took the protest in stride. He said his business supports “the most humane practices” concerning animals.
“They have a right to their opinion,” he said of the picketers. But whatever be the case there is possibly no humanity to animals when it comes to fur because they brutally skinned alive for fur. Dogs, cats, raccoon are all the primary animals who become victims of animal cruelty which cannot be even described in words.
Stop buying fur and save these poor speechless animals because even they have a right to live was the message these activists tried to convey to the shopping freaks during this festive season.
