vIndianz.com (Aug. 22, 2009) — Google offers video chat directly from iGoogle homepage. For this you have to download a small plugin. Then you can video chat with anyone you like. You can chat with friends who don’t have gmail accounts, all you need is a generic Google account.

igoogle-videochatTo start video chatting, click on the “Start video chat” link given in the “Actions” menu at the bottom of a chat window.

If your friends are ready for video chat, you can see a small green camera icon next to their name in their chat list.

Once you start chatting, you can use the ‘pop-out’ arrow on the top of a chat window to make the size bigger or go full-screen. The video chat makes iGoogle more social.
