PETA gave London the respect because of the city’s plentiful vegetarian restaurants and meatless cultural cuisine. In addition vegetarians who holiday in London will uncover that grocery stores obviously tag vegan options making it simple to opt for meat free meals.
Paul McCartney, who has been in the news recently promoting his Meat Free Monday campaign, gave PETA’s verdict a thumb up and hosted a video for the animal rights organization discussing the horrendous circumstances perpetrated by factory farming. Paul McCartney is acknowledged for his saying, “If slaughterhouses had glass walls, everybody would be vegetarian.”
London, the city branded for its iconic “Beefeater” guards, has been named the most vegetarian-friendly city in the world by PETA. PETA chose London after taking into consideration not only the city’s several vegetarian restaurants but also the enormous assortment of meatless ethnic cuisine and the fact that grocery stores and even steak houses in the city endorse the escalating number of vegan options by representing them with a green “V” on menus and labels.

In the video, McCartney shows viewers what happens in factory farms and discusses the fresh U.N. report enlightening that meat production is accountable for 18 percent of global carbon emissions—over all the cars, planes, trains, and boats in the world combined.
