(vIndianz, April 9 2010): The Solar Impulse aircraft, fuelled by just the sun, made succesful test flight over the Siss countryside before landing on the Payerne military air strip on April 7.

A pioneering bid to fly around the world on solar energy, Swiss adventurer Bertrand Piccard hopes to do the hitherto un-attempted with his aircraft that has as fuel energy generated by 12000 solar cells in high performance batteries.
