vIndianz.com (5 Mar, 2010) — London: Oscar hopeful The Hurt Locker is in trouble. A soldier is reportedly set to sue them alleging the Oscar-nominated film is based on his tour of duty in Iraq.
Master Sergeant Jeffrey S Sarver is due to file a multi-million dollar federal lawsuit against The Hurt Locker film-makers, claiming the movie depicts his own experiences as the leader of an explosives disposal unit, Contactmusic reported.
Sarver, 38, alleges The Hurt Locker screenwriter Mark Boal was allowed to travel with his unit in Iraq as part of an armed services press programme.
