vIndianz.com (27 Dec, 2009) — Actor Shahid Kapur, one of the finest dancers in the glitter town, says that a fresh style of dance has been introduced in his forthcoming Ken Ghosh film Chance Pe Dance, which was a challenge for him.
“Dance is an imperative ingredient of Chance Pe Dance. Everyone knows I can dance so we determined to astonish the audience by introducing latest style of dancing for which American choreographer Marty Kudelka was roped in,” Shahid said.
“It is a challenge to unlearn and in addition learn something new,” he said adding that dance in Bollywood has evolved a lot. Shahid says he likes Hip Hop a lot and finds krumping, a type of street dance popularized in US, hard.
“The viewer’s mindset has changed and they desire to see something fresh in each film. Actors too don’t like to replicate themselves. Kaminey brought me out of my comfort zone. Audiences should not have any qualms about seeing you in any kind of role. This is an ideal situation for every actor,” he said.
Shahid, who plays Sameer Bahl, a struggling actor, in the movie, will be seen romancing Genelia D’Souza onscreen. “It is a story of struggle. It could be from any field. Sameer is optimistic in life and that’s what keeps him going. “Actor said.
Shahid said Chance Pe Dance is a straightforward realistic film and a slice of life. “It’s a story of each struggler and a commitment to my years of struggle,” Shahid said.
