vIndianz.com (19 Jan, 2010) — New Delhi: Bollywood actor Salman Khan, who is in the state capital to support his forthcoming film ‘Veer’, on Tuesday shared his opinion on bravery by saying that it is not essentially displayed by way of violence.
Addressing a gathering hosted by All India Anti-Terrorist Front, Salman said: “I am travelling to different states in order to honor the brave people from across the country.”
“Veer doesn’t point out that you have to battle with the swords or go to the battlefield with the rifle. If you can sort out anything without a sword or a gun then we must sort it out that way,” Salman said
Also there at the gathering, President of All India Anti-Terrorist Front, Maninder Singh Bitta, said that their forum is instituting Anti-Terrorism Veer awards, which will be conferred on those who lay down their lives for the nation and the society.
“We have made a statement that each year Anti-Terror Veer awards will be given to those brave people who lay down their lives, for those who give up their lives for the nation,” Bitta said.
Directed by Anil Sharma, the film ‘Veer’ is a love story of a warrior belonging to the Pindari clan when the British ruled India in the 19th century.
The film is planned to hit the screen, countrywide on this Friday.
