vIndianz.com (Dec. 02, 2009) — Eva Mendes has turned her back on fur after learning the way animals are killed for their pelts – and currently she’s fronting an assertive latest PETA video on the subject of the horrors of the trade.
The sexy star admits she on one occasion wore fur to a Hollywood event, but she’ll by no means replicate her mistake.
And, by way of remorseful, she’s hosting a latest Internet expose regarding the fur industry.
The film includes the most recent investigation of fur farms and markets in China, the world’s largest fur exporter.
Mendes tells WENN, “Millions of animals are killed for their pelts annually… I didn’t always know how animals were killed for their fur, and I even wore fur once myself.
“When I learned how brutal the fur industry is – and that there are no laws shielding these animals – I swore that I’d by no means wear it again. Please stick together with me today as we go behind the scenes of the international fur trade, and discover out how you can look sensational without supporting animal suffering.”
Mendes admits she has turned out to be a leading famous star animal rights supporter after her pet dog Hugo came into her life.
She explains, “It factually altered my life, getting my dog. Each choice that I make, I always consider about my little Hugo and think, ‘God, would I eat him? Would I confine him up? Would I skin him?’ No, of course not.”
Mendes joins an increasing list of celebrities fronting a variety of PETA anti-fur campaigns – they include Charlize Theron, Christina Applegate, Roselyn Sanchez, Pamela Anderson, Nia Long, and Christy Turlington.

More people should join the anti fur movement. Lesser the demand the sooner the industry will stop cruelty.
