vIndianz.com (5 Mar, 2010) — Mumbai: Aamir Khan, the hitmaker of 3 Idiots, has signed a deal with a UAE-based telecommunications service provider reportedly for a staggering Rs 35 crore, according to Times of India.
The deal is easily the highest a Bollywood celebrity has ever received for an ad endorsement.
According to reports during the two-year contract Aamir will make himself available for an allotted number of media shoots, press advertisements and personal appearances.
Aamir was paid a `meagre’ Rs 17 lakh in 1993 for his first coal ad, according to ad guru Prahlad Kakkar.
According to industry sources, the last highest amount paid to four Bollywood names — Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan — is in the range of Rs 12 crore to Rs 15 crore.
Aamir neither denied nor confirmed the latest development.
